New cars are painted with water borne paint, which is more delicate than paint from decades ago. The most clearcoat your car will ever have is the day you take delivery, so protecting it early means you are not thinning it later with repeated polishing.
In most cases yes. Existing chips under the film can show as small bubbles, so if your car has some miles on it we will look it over first and tell you honestly whether it is a good candidate.
